Alan Wayne Gay, 75 of El Dorado passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at his residence. Born November 22, 1948 in El Dorado he was the son of Roland Eugene and Bobbie Burley Gay who preceded him in death.
Mr. Gay had been a lab technician at Great Lakes for 43 years and later in his career he became an environmental analyst. Alan and Kathy later founded Laboratory Solutions, Inc. which was a setup company for multiple laboratories.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Kathy Gay of El Dorado, a son, Jeffery Alan Gay of El Dorado and a special bonus brother and sister, Todd and Regina Whatley. Surviving sisters are Paula Robertson and Marcie Ethridge both of El Dorado along with grandchildren, Dacey Gay Bennett (Christopher) and Koby Gay and great-grandchildren, Kolby Brennon Gay, Jr., Cameron Alan Gay and Brodie Wayne Gay.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Young's Funeral Directors. In honor of Alan's love of show cars friends are invited to showcase their cars on Young's parking lot during the celebration.
