Bronis H. Smith Patterson, 102, of El Dorado, passed away on March 13, 2024, at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on October 20, 1921, to Samuel Lafayette and Bell Braswell Smith in Union County, AR.
She was the oldest living member of Parkers Chapel Methodist Church, a previous member of the Builders Sunday School Class at St. Paul Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, and she was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Odell Patterson; brothers, Alvin, Earnest, Herbert, Edward and Orville Lee Smith; sister, Betsy Smith; and son-in-laws, Kenneth Cross, and Glenn McElwee.
Survivors include her daughters, Juanita Cross, Teresa McElwee; granddaughters, Jelyn Wynn (Richard), Lauri Anders (Brandon) all of El Dorado; grandsons, Carlton Cross (Tracy) of Pine Bluff, AR, Brian Francis (Stephanie) of El Dorado; great granddaughters, Shelby Cross, Kaylin Waller, Kara Francis; great grandsons, Taylor Wynn, Alex Wynn, Brady Cross, Drew Waller, Blaine Francis, Kason Francis, Logan Anders, Conner Anders; and five great, great grandsons; and sister-in-law, Lelia Patterson.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Young's Chapel, the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Carlton Cross officiating. Burial will follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
