Obituaries

Chad William McMenis, 44, of Smackover passed away at South Arkansas Regional Hospital on Monday, December 16, 2024.

Born October 28, 1980 in El Dorado he was the son of Robert Charles (deceased) and Kathy Smith McMenis.  Chad was a carpenter by trade and was a member of Liberty Methodist Church in Louann.

Survivors include his mother, Kathy McMenis of Smackover, a son, Zaden McMenis of Smackover and daughters, Sara McMenis of El Dorado, Adriel McMenis of Smackover and Maiya Simmons of Smackover along with a bonus daughter, Lillian King of Smackover.  Also surviving are an uncle, James McMenis of Smackover, aunts, Kay Tolin (Tim) of Louann and Debbie Jefcoate (Rex) of New Zealand along with a host of cousins.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Methodist Church in Louann with Rev. James Neely and Rev. Carly Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
