Edward “Ed” Gajeski

Edward “Ed” Gajeski, 82, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025 at his home in Richmond, TX. Ed was born on June 23, 1942 in Manistee, MI to Joseph and Theresa Gajeski.

Family and friends were most important to Ed. He married Judy Martin in Manistee, MI in 1962 and moved to El Dorado, AR in 1965. They have 2 children, David and Bob. Ed was a parishioner of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He also enjoyed hunting, golfing, and gaming with Judy and friends.

Ed’s business career began in Manistee with Great Lakes Chemical and was promoted and moved to El Dorado in 1965. After 35+ years, he retired as Construction Supervisor from Great Lakes. In 2000, he began working for Milam Construction and retired in 2017 as the Project Manager.

Ed is preceded in death by both parents and his sister Barbara Bromley.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judy, 2 children, David Gajeski and wife Lana, Bob Gajeski and his wife Jami; grandchildren Jessica May and husband Dylan, Amanda McGehee and husband Matthew, Nolan Gajeski and wife Mandy, Dillon Gajeski and wife Paula, Connor Gajeski, Ashlyn Steinsiek, Reagan Steinsiek; great grandchildren Andrew, Ava, Jaelen, Cooper, Parker and Olivia; his brother Carl Gajeski and wife Rudy, sister Joyce Myers and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Rosary will be at Young’s Funeral Directors Chapel in El Dorado, Arkansas on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM with the Rosary at 7:00 PM with Father Edward D'Almeida officiating. A Memorial service will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM. A private burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
