Edwin Daniel (Ed) Tuma 75 of Junction City, LA passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025 in Shreveport, LA. Born February 21, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska, he was the son of Arthur and Kathleen O’Connell Tuma.
Ed had retired from El Dorado Chemical after over 25 years. He was an active volunteer fireman. He was a member of Three Creeks Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death along with his parents was a son, Keith Tuma and a brother, Art Tuma.
Surviving is his wife, Lou Tuma of Lillie, LA two sons, Allan Tuma (Sophia) of San Antonio, TX and Adam Tuma (Elizabeth) of Ft. Worth, TX; one daughter, Stephanie Pepper (PW) of Junction City and one sister, Darcy Braun (Larry) of Benton, Missouri. Surviving grandchildren are Alex, Kaylee, Saige, and Corey Pepper, Jaxon, Matthew, Caleb and Amos Tuma.
Ed, known as Dad/Poppa, was a strong and reliable man always ready to lend a hand. He could fix anything or find a way to get it done. He would always greet you with a firm handshake and be ready to talk about cars, trucks, tractors, grandkids and God. When he talked about his grandchildren it was with a huge grin. He loved to give them and his favorite dog, Darby rides on the tractor. He taught his kids to put Christ first and everything else will fall in place.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, February 24, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Young’s. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Three Creeks Baptist Church with Rev. Dano Rainer officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
