Edwin “Lenny” Luker, age 76, of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at South Arkansas Regional Hospital.
Born May 2, 1947 in Hughes, AR, he was the son of Edwin F Luker and Mildred Faye Brown Thomas (Gene Thomas). Lenny was a faithful member of Marrable Hill Chapel and faithfully served Victory Bible Camp for many years. He retired from Lion Oil Refinery where he worked for 30 years as a Boiler Operator. Lenny enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. His favorite pastime was being Dad and Papaw, teaching his children and grandchildren to love and respect the outdoors. They have all followed in his footsteps. They adore their dad and papaw – he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his spouse of 54 years Janett Bartlett Luker of El Dorado, daughter, Erin Gathright (Mark) of El Dorado, son, Jason Luker (Stephanie) of El Dorado, sisters, Patsy Cooper (Charles) of Flippin, AR, Donna Cooper (Edd) of Colt, AR, and brother, Wayde Thomas (Judy) of Forrest City, AR, grandchildren, Darby Gathright, Hunter Luker, Kaden Luker, Laney Gathright, Ava Gathright, and great grandson, Daks Russell.
A fellowship gathering will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Marrable Hill Chapel Fellowship Hall.
