Joe Robert Faust, 89, of El Dorado, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on April 21, 1935 to Joseph Frank and Annie Stacy Haisler Faust in Caldwell, TX.
He worked as a supervisor at Texas A&M College, before his retirement and was a member of Cross Life Church. Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing chess, bowling, and he was a sharp shooter. He married Margaret Marionette Perry Faust on August 3, 1974.
Preceding him in death are his parents, son, Robert Wayne Faust; grandsons, Shannon Lee Faust, Jerry Hebert; and sister, Annie Polasek.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marionette Faust of El Dorado; son, James Henry Faust (Richelle) of Splendora, TX; step-daughter, Debra McGaugh of El Dorado; brother, Henry Joe Faust of Magnolia, TX; grandchildren, Justin Faust (Cindy), Joshua Faust, Nichole Faust, Ashley Adair, Terry Adair; and great grandson, Rhys Faust, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2025 in Young's Chapel with Rev. Randy Welch officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
