Obituaries

Kevin Michael Squyres, 50 of Smackover passed away, Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at South Arkansas Regional Hospital. 

He is survived by his wife, Christy and a daughter, Hannah Squyres both of Smackover. Also surviving him are his parents Mike and Teri Arnold of Smackover. Kevin is survived by three brothers, Chad Squyres of El Dorado, Darryl Squyres of Smackover and Jay Arnold (Jena) of Maumelle. Kevin is also survived by his in-laws Bob and Kathy Boren of Smackover and two sisters-in-law, Misty Beentjes (Edwin) of Wexford, PA and Mary Ingram (Tracey) of Parker’s Chapel. He is also survived by niece Taylor Schmidt (Austin) of Calion and nephews Elijah Ingram of Parker’s Chapel, Nathaniel Beentjes of Wexford, PA, Trace Squyres of Crossett and great nephew Matthew Schmidt.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Mildred Holloway.

Kevin’s family would like to thank Dr Keith Davis, Dr Derek Middleton, Dr Kenneth Coggins and Dr Peter Kim for their care, concern, and willingness to answer any question. Christy and Hannah would also like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Smackover Family Practice Clinic and CARTI El Dorado - especially the nurses, they made the visits so much more enjoyable than they were.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Young’s. Memorial services with Rev Sye Duke officiating will be held directly following the visitation on March 22, 2025.

Memorial gifts would be greatly appreciated instead of flowers for UCAPS, CARTI Cancer Center or to the donor’s personal choice.
