Kim Marie Snyder, 59, of El Dorado, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024, surrounded by love and faith. Born to Jake and Minnie Bell Snyder, Kim filled every room with joy, laughter, and her genuine warmth. Preceded in death by her beloved daddy, Jake, and her dear uncle, Bennie Legg, Kim leaves behind her momma, Minnie Bell of El Dorado, and her two brothers, Cary Snyder of Jonesboro (and his wife, Jennifer), and Eric Snyder of Farmerville, LA (and his wife, Rosanne). Kim also leaves behind six nieces and nephews, and six great-nieces and great-nephews who adored her.
To know Kim was to experience boundless love and pure joy. She was a light in this world, growing up with a heart for the Lord, always thrilled to be at church, praising God, and making memories at youth camp. With her tambourine in hand, she brought music to every gathering, and during summers, you could find her outside—playing softball, swimming, or fishing… as long as she didn’t catch a turtle! Turtles were not her favorite, and her family would laugh each time she’d give a startled squeal and let one go.
Kim made friends wherever she went. She never met a stranger, and her smile and hugs were as much her trademark as the joy she shared. With a box of crayons always by her side, Kim loved to color and write, and her family fondly recalls her endless collection of word searches, Uno games, and her talent for winning. She loved to watch TV, especially Walker, Texas Ranger, mimicking Chuck Norris's every move with a gleeful spirit that made her family laugh and cheer her on.
Kim was a die-hard fan of the Atlanta Braves, never missing a chance to root for her team. Known affectionately as “Whistle-butt” by her momma, Kim never lost the wide-eyed wonder that so many of us outgrow. She saw beauty in the everyday, joy in the small things, and magic in life itself—a reminder to all who knew her to cherish every moment.
A memorial service to celebrate Kim’s remarkable life will be held November 17, 2024 at 2:00pm at the El Dorado Church of God. All family and friends are invited to attend.
In Kim’s memory, the family asks that donations be made to the El Dorado Church of God, where she found such happiness and a deep sense of belonging.
