Patsy Ruth Cook, 91 of El Dorado, passed away at her residence on December 30,2024. Born May 28, 1933 in Urbana, AR she was the daughter of James Elaska Leon and Sarah Arenna Brasher Jones.
Patsy was a graduate of Parkers Chapel High School and had been a bookkeeper for U. S. Army while her husband James was in service and continued providing bookkeeping services from a home business. She was a longtime member of St. Paul Methodist Church.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James D. Cook along with a brother-in-law, Gerald Cook.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Cook (Tammy) and Keith Cook (Lynette) all of El Dorado and a daughter Donna Drevdahl (John) of Loveland, CO. Also surviving is a brother, Doyle Gene Jones (Linda) of Cabot, AR along with grandchildren, Andrew Cook, Matthew Cook, Jonathan Swarek, Eric Lee and Alex Lee, great-grandchildren, Spencer Lee, Grace Swarek and Jonathan Swarek, Jr and sister-in-law, Belinda Cook of El Dorado.
Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Young's Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025 at St. Paul Methodist Church with Rev. John Mark Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
