Phyllis K. (PK) Davis

Phyllis K. (PK) Davis, 74 of Junction City left her earthly body on Saturday, July 6, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born July 19, 1949 in Warren, AR, she was the daughter of Malvin and Alameda Savage Chandler who preceded her in death.

Phyllis worked beside her husband and best friend, Ricky Davis, for 37 years. They became owners of El Dorado Mobile Homes 30 years ago and recently opened Davis Farms Country Market. She was longtime member of First Methodist Church of Junction City.

Phyllis was an excellent decorator and loved to decorate the homes on the lot, her own home and even yours if it needed it. She was an accomplished shopper, some might say, a professional shopper, shopping for herself or those that she loved. She was a hard working woman who was difficult to keep up with and was always on the go taking care of others.

Traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sports events along with holidays were her favorite pastimes. Cooking and decorating for holidays were special times spent with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Ricky Davis, sons; Leslie Word (Melissa) of Norphlet, Joey Davis (Lori) of Lillie, LA, and Phillip Davis (Brittany) of Conway. Grandchildren are Christian Word, Dawson Davis, Hallee Davis, Mason Davis, Will Davis and Chandler Davis. Surviving brothers, are Jerry Chandler (Patsy) of Harmony Grove, AR, Tommy Chandler (Jennifer) of Carthage, TX, and Larry Chandler of San Antonio, TX and a sister, Linda Mullins (Jody) of Harmony Grove, AR along with many nieces, nephews and a host of great friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 in the Chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at St. Paul Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Depper officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Sehon, Hal Honeycutt, Mike Loftin, Bill Roachell, J. D. Harper, Todd Loftin, and Brandon Thurman along with honorary pallbearers, Christian Word, Dawson Davis, Mason Davis and Will Davis.

The family would like to express our gratitude to Devetha Hamilton and Linda Mullins for their unwavering friendship and care they have shown to Phyllis during her difficult sickness. Also, the family would like to sincerely thank Gentiva Hospice as well as Tanya Golden for going above and beyond with her care.
