Robert Nelson Brewer, Jr. 76 of Norphlet, AR passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at his home. Born in El Dorado, AR to Robert Nelson Brewer, Sr. and Ella Mae (Johnnie) Powell Brewer.
Bob was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was a graduate of Norphlet High School and a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War where he was a gunner's mate on a river boat patrol.
Bob was the plant manager of Milbank Manufacturing for thirty years, making many long friendships.
He was a Deacon at First Baptist Church Norphlet and a Gideon.
Bob loved hunting, fishing, and whistling the Andy Griffith theme song.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Edd Brewer and a grandson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Barbara Sue Barbaree Brewer, children, Kristie Bussell (Greg), Tom Brewer (Phyllis Lynn), and Tanya Brewer. Grandchildren, Cody Bussell (Kelsie), Luke Bussell (Christen), Mallory Brewer, Lilah Todd Pearson (Colby), Joel Brewer, Jax Todd, Abby Lynn Brewer and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at First Baptist Church Norphlet from 9:00-10:00 a.m. September 14, 2024 with the service directly following with Rev. Doug Wills officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
