Susan Jane Dumas, 69, of El Dorado, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at her residence. She was born on August 4, 1955 to Bobby Ford and Sylvia Lumley Medlin.
She worked as receptionist for Oak Ridge Nursing Home and was a member of the Norphlet United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Willard Dumas of Norphlet; daughter, Toni Hatcher of Norphlet; son Willie Dumas of Cabot; grandsons, Tyler Hatcher (Lauren) of Lawson, Pete Hatcher of Norphlet; granddaughter, Brooke Dumas of Fayetteville; great granddaughters, Harper Sinclair and Emery Jane Hatcher, due in March 2025; sisters, Bobbie Brantley (Gary) of Norphlet, Rex Ann Waltman (Glen) of Oak Grove, LA; numerous nieces and nephews; and her favorite pet, Banditt.
Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Young’s.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 3, at Norphlet United Methodist Church with Rod Mills and Pastor Amanda Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
